Picpoul de Pinot is a mouthwatering wine from an ancient grape that combines the refreshing zippiness of a light Pinot Grigio with the more evolved lime and tropical flavors of a good Sauvignon Blanc. The name Picpoul means 'lip stinger' because it has a pleasing bite to it on the finish. Grown in the Languedoc region of France near the ocean close to the town of Pezenas, this one is made by a Cave Coopérative founded in 1932 and is a longtime favorite of ours.
